Progressive Students' Alliance

Penn State Knitivism is part of the Progressive Students' Alliance, which includes seven student organizations that actively campaign for human rights issues:

Students for Justice in Palestine

The Students for Justice in Palestine Penn State Chapter is dedicated to educate the student body and local community about the Palestinian crisis and promote justice, human rights, liberation, and self-determination for the Palestinian people.

Amnesty International

Amnesty International undertakes research and action focused on prevention and ending grave abuses of the rights to physical and mental integrity, freedom of conscience and expression, and freedom from discrimination, within the context of its work to promote all human rights. The Penn State chapter of Amnesty International promotes human rights for all people and enhances human rights education on the Penn State campus and the surrounding area.

United Students Against Sweatshops

United Students against Sweatshops (USAS) is a network of students in North America who have been organizing for workers' rights since 1998.

As former, current, and future workers, we recognize that we must live the principles that we are taught in the classroom now. As students, we have the power to force our universities to respect the basic human rights and dignity of workers who make our education possible.

Eco-Action

Eco-Action is dedicated to promoting environmental awareness and sustainability on campus.

SpeakOut

SpeakOut is a political action organization dedicated to protecting human dignity by advocating for fair and just treatment of all Penn State community members, inclusive of gender identiy, gender expression, and/or sexual/affectional orientation.
